Pride season is here and BAD is bringing you the best Pride party for women in Denver on Friday June 26th at Tracks/EXDO. Laser light show, aerial dance, music by DJ Trina J  AND a special guest appearance by international recording artists – God-des and She. You have seen them on the L Word, MTV and LOGO so watch out Denver. God-des and She’s “Love You Better” broke records on MTV’s Logo network holding the #1 most requested spot on the charts for 15 weeks straight. Don’t miss this party. Doors open at 7PM; Cover $10. Babes Around Denver is pleased to welcome the First Annual BellaY Lesbian Book Tour to First Friday. Bella Books is the largest lesbian press in the United States and is exclusively devoted to publishing entertaining and relevant stories by, for and about lesbians. More than 30 of its authors have won or been finalists for prestigious writing awards, representing nearly 25% of the titles in its catalog. Some of lesbian fiction’s legendary authors either write or edit for the press, including Katherine V. Forrest.  So far we have the following writers committed to promoting and attending the event:

Pretty in Pink Party – the official kick off of the infamous Boa Project (an attempt to break the world record for the longest feather boa – 1.14 Miles – in the Denver Pride parade on June 28th). The project supports The Alexander Foundation and the party will be held at SPIRE (14th and Champa) on Friday May 29th. Individuals and groups may donate to the cause by purchasing Boa sections. Party Friday May 15th at “Her Bar” -Denver’s newest lesbian club – great space, great sound and great vibe.  We welcome the new bar and BAD looks forward to hosting some fun events at Her Bar. Watch for Pride weekend updates and make sure you wacth the  parade in front of Her Bar.
