Babes Around Denver is delighted to announce that DJ Trina J, Resident First Friday DJ, donated $3000 to The Colorado Humane Society last week. Born with music in her soul and a love of animals in her heart, DJ Trina continues to pursue her passion of saving animals one at a time by donating 100% of her DJ fees and tips to Humane Societies all over the US. To say DJ Trina “spins for the dogs” is an understatement.
From The Temptations and The Bee Gees to Rihanna and Pink, the music she plays is endless. Gaining national attention with a record of consistent performances–Pridefest Denver (over 100,00 attendees), Rock to Vote 2008, and Unity Dance’08–she is currently Resident DJ for Babes Around Denver’s “First Friday,” the Nation’s largest monthly women’s party with attendance exceeding 1,500 every month.
Her vast collection of music, married with her ability to command a rise and fall of BPM, as well as an innate ability to read a crowd, make Trina a triple threat.
You can catch Trina J spinning on Sweet’s Caribbean Cruise later this year and rest assured she will be spinning for the dogs!

The Venus de Miles Ride may be over but Babes Around Denver helped make a difference. Dozens of Babes joined the ride and many bought jerseys. Thanks to our sponsors – we were able to donate $750 to Greenhouse Scholars for college scholarships. The kids who are getting the scholarships staffed the first rest stop and it was great having the opportunity to meet them. Thanks to all of you for the support and to Svedka Vodka, Tracks/EXDO, Wash Perk and Dazzle. The Venus is sure to become one of the nation’s premier cycling events for women and BAD is thrilled to be part of it. How bout the chocolate truffles at rest stop #2?!
First Friday this week at Tracks Doors open at 6PM with DJ Shannon spinnin in the big room for CW. DJ Trina J starts at 7:30 in the front room with your Motown, disco and 80’s favorites. Stay late and dance to Top 40, Hip-Hop, Club and more. DJ Markie will spin your favorite remixes in EXDO. Cover is still only $5 – by far – Denver’s best entertainment value. Congratulations to Missy Sievers who won the Sweet Caribbean Cruise…how SWEET is that.
