First Friday is THIS week due to the New Year Holiday. DJ Trina J spins in the BIG room all night with music for everyone. She will get the party goin with early CW then rewind to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. As the night goes on, we will step it up with Top 40 dance, Hip-Hop and more. Huge dance floor all night. First Friday attendance was more than 20,000 during 2009 and it’s still the largest monthly women’s dance party in the US.

Due to First Friday falling on New Year’s Day – we are moving the party to Friday January 8th – ONE TIME ONLY. We know many of you will be watching football, hungover or just chillin.  This will be our annual Dinah Party so watch for more details.

Read about DJ Trina J and her quest to save animals one at a time in this weeks OutFront Colorado on page 18 in the digital edition (also available in print copy).  DJ Trina will be spinning for animals at First Friday this week followed by a gig on the inaugural Sweet Caribbean Cruise next week. DJ Trina donates ALL her DJ fees and tips to animal causes so help her save our pet companions. More than 1600 women rocked First Friday – see who was there! Thanks to all the women who attended the NCLR event – especially Kim Curtis who won the live auction for the Sweet Cruise for $2500. BAD is so excited to be hosting the special NCLR “On The Road” Event at First Friday in October. Doors open early for the social “Meet and Greet” with Executive Director Kate Kandell and our other friends at NCLR. The event will be held at Tracks in Heaven Lounge (the middle room) from 5:30-7:30 and will include appetizers by SAVA Catering, $5 Martini Specials, a LIVE Auction for a Sweet Caribbean Cruise and a drawing for a special brunch with Kate Kendall at Panzano on Saturday October 3rd. NCLR is leading the charge for LGBT rights including the right to marry and our support is critical. Following the Social, those going to the event can party on at First Friday with NCLR and 1500 other women!! Donation – $20 includes food AND admission to First Friday. We always have a great turnout in October so don’t miss this one.

Babes Around Denver is delighted to announce that DJ Trina J, Resident First Friday DJ, donated $3000 to The Colorado Humane Society last week. Born with music in her soul and a love of animals in her heart, DJ Trina continues to pursue her passion of saving animals one at a time by donating 100% of her DJ fees and tips to Humane Societies all over the US. To say DJ Trina “spins for the dogs” is an understatement.

From The Temptations and The Bee Gees to Rihanna and Pink, the music she plays is endless. Gaining national attention with a record of consistent performances–Pridefest Denver (over 100,00 attendees), Rock to Vote 2008, and Unity Dance’08–she is currently Resident DJ for Babes Around Denver’s “First Friday,” the Nation’s largest monthly women’s party with attendance exceeding 1,500 every month.

Her vast collection of music, married with her ability to command a rise and fall of BPM, as well as an innate ability to read a crowd, make Trina a triple threat.
