Babes Around Denver

First Friday, now in it’s 7th year, began in 2003 and quickly evolved into the largest monthly women’s party in the entire US.  Babes Around Denver aka” BAD” hosted the 1st First Friday in March 2003 and we are thrilled to be hosting our 7th Anniversary Party on March 5th at Tracks/EXDO.

Kaylah Marin, the  R & B/neo soul recording artist from San Francisco, will perform some dance hits including her #4 Top Billboard Club Play hit “On The Floor”. Considering the great fortune that’s been coming her way, the alt-R&B/neo-soul singer/songwriter,  can’t help but beLoving Life these days. After years of applying her multitude of creative talents to a series of wildly diverse creative endeavors—from being lead singer in a techno band, The Riots, to co-founding the non-profit dance, music and theatre company The Butterfly Project—Kaylah is relishing the opportunity to at last pursue her career as a solo artist

Babes Around Denver is pleased to welcome the First Annual BellaY Lesbian Book Tour to First Friday. Bella Books is the largest lesbian press in the United States and is exclusively devoted to publishing entertaining and relevant stories by, for and about lesbians. More than 30 of its authors have won or been finalists for prestigious writing awards, representing nearly 25% of the titles in its catalog. Some of lesbian fiction’s legendary authors either write or edit for the press, including Katherine V. Forrest.  So far we have the following writers committed to promoting and attending the event:
